Strife is in the beta stage, but what does that mean? When does it end?
The beta stage of Strife is a public testing and running of the game. The purpose of this stage is to find any bugs, tweak/balance the units, and add some functions. The beta does not have any animated battles, nor unit art around the game. The final version, however, will have it all. After the beta is over new units will still be added occasionally. Lastly, when the beta officially ends, the first season of Strife will begin (seasons are explained later).
Where can I see the statistics of each race's generic units?
You can view the default values for each starting unit at the following race-specific informational pages: Zerg, Terran, and Protoss.
How many battles can a team fight per day?
It depends. Each team is alotted 8 battles within a 24 hour span by default. However, the higher a team's recovery percentage the faster they'll recover during that time period. Also, teams with more units will recover slightly slower.
What has been simplified from the StarCraft games to accomodate Strife's playability?
For the purpose of keeping the game relatively balanced, most units have modified statistics. Also, to compensate for the lack of shields and regeneration, Protoss and Zerg units have slightly higher HP.
I have enough credits, but why can't I buy anymore units?
Whenever you buy a new unit it is transferred to your inactive units pool (units not in a team). Each player is restricted to a maximum of 25 inactive units.
What is a season? When do they take place?
Seasons are periods in a year lasting 3 months each, for a total of 4 seasons. At the start of each new season teams and units will suffer a decay to their experience points, which may affect their level. The higher the level the more severe the decay is. The point of this is to maintain the top positions in all the standings with only the active players. At the end of each season there may be prizes, if announced, that will be rewarded.
Can a team or unit be deleted?
No. All teams and units created in Strife are permanent. Teams and units can be sold in the market, but they will remain in the database and act without a player. Teams can also be released from ownership.
Why does it say my battles have been forgotten?
Any battle that took place over 3 months ago will be pruned. The hard data, such as who was in the battle and who won, will remain in the database, but the soft data, such as the action and transcript views, will be erased.
