There has been a lot of complaints, since the start of the season, about how players that were flagged as an Abuser or a Hacker can easily smurf back into the leagues. Well, complain no more.
I have recently coded several new security checks actively throughout the site that aim to catch smurfing flagged users and report them to me and my admins promptly. Keep in mind that no system is perfect, but we can always get closer and closer to perfection.
As a part of the update to the checks I have redone the flagging system. Now, any of my admins can issue flags, even temporary ones, to users. There are a few rules to this however, such as:
- Shield Admins can only issue the Repented, Abuser, and Hacker flags. The Repented flag cannot be temporary.
- Resource Admins can only issue the Voided flag. The Voided flag will always be temporary.
- Forum Admins can only issue the Muted flag. The Muted flag will always be temporary.
- Flags cannot be issued by 1 admin alone. Instead, after an admin issues the flag it has to be approved by a second admin of the same power. This is to provide a 2nd check of the particular flagging to ensure the reasoning for the flag is allowable.
- When a flagging is approved any other accounts associated by IP will be given the same flag also. This cannot be contested.

With the new flagging system I have unflagged all users that were muted, except any user that was flagged recently as Muted.

Reason: We have our reasons. wtf is that?? ... this shit got way outta hand and is ridiculous at how many people are getting muted and for the reasons they're getting muted... like nick said VGT has become a bitch site for 10 year olds and the admins abusing their little power thinking their some body LOL what a joke~ |
