Yeah I get that but some bm is absolutely ridiculous. I've seen a ton of bm out of aow lately such as sunny who when asking someone to 1v1 and the guy dodged because he had to take care of his new born kid sunny was like LOL DODGE DODGE NEWB! and starting bming the guys wife and kid. Just because he felt like he had something to prove. I mean if you believe the point which I'm trying to bring up is pointless then either you don't really get what I'm talking about or you feel some people are way gone in means of sense that it's pointless to even talk about it.
yep I said in the first post how I completely get that stupid kind of humor but that does not mean all things that are fun should be done when taking into account that it involves other people too. Some people seem far gone though when it comes to actual character. Check the screenshots at least and you will see some of what I mean. In the replays I posted everyone of those players responded in a very similar way and all of these games took place within a years time. Which means 1 of 2 things. This is a common perspective which is a pretty sad though or 2 this is the same guy and its sad to think hes the same way after so long. Some people might look at this and think negatively of me by even taking the time to write so much but my motivation for it was because of how frequent its seen on battle.net. What is most sad is the thought that I actually didn't write this to bash on anyone but rather to actually help a few of those "lost causes" to actually be decent people rather then getting on sc day after day just to bm and annoy people just to make them feel better about themselves. For one its not a very progressive lifestyle and 2 everyone who I probably would like to help in this sense would never take the time to even read and think to make a comparison with themselves about it. Since i rarely post I tried to fit in as much details as I could since I think most people look down on someone that is unknown or doesn't have a well known reputation to consider a long post something more worthwhile to read. I've played against you and smoke on the account RabidMonk a while back if you remember. It was my west account. You guys were pretty cool and we played about 10 games. took 5 a piece. So I don't have a problem with the angry bmer that loses. I just dislike the angry arrogant/ignorant bmers and if any of them actually find the decency to read this and think "wow the only person i make look stupid when being an asshole is myself" or maybe get some already decent people to read this and think to be slightly better in everyday life then id consider this post a job well done. I realize its a slim chance and the change might be so minimal it will go unnoticed but I tried anyway. |

I read all of it and I agree with most of it. Your personality and your play style SORT of reflect on your character. My biggest regret with playing so many hours of SC was that I participated in the VGT and SCD leagues. I forgot how fun it is to play pubs or play anybody in the channels. The best moments I've had in starcraft was when I was in HS and a large group of us would play together. Right after school we'd mass call each other and play shit like 4v4, 3v3, Race Wars, FFA, pubbing. I guess because I personally knew them made it fun too. The leagues ruined Starcraft for me. I was copying strats, fighting drops, and games that should have averaged 15-20 minutes took an hour+ (especially vs Zerg or Protoss). Then I played low $$ and shit became fun again. So there's your solution. Play Low $$ or play Asia server with the Koreans, who don't play that way. Alot of people take this game too seriously though...At a point when my skill level was higher, did too. |

| I'm not going to read it but if you are complaining about people bming welcome to video games. Where ever you go people BM and QQ its just how it is. Of course some people might be like that in real life but who are we to judge? How I act playing a game and in real life are two separate people. Gaming brings the competitiveness out in people | |

| i read the whole thing and i agree. i beat this kid couple minutes ago and he called me a nerd cus he lost and and his partner ragequit after i nuked him, going double nukes and like 2 rack for first 6 mins of game and he said to me after the game was over that he wanted to fight me. lol i would knock him the fuck out but point being its sad that u bm when u lose. just say gg and re idk why everybody bms... its like a trend with the fmp community and everybodies iq is shit lol. just sayin |

I'm not only complaining but trying to bring out a certain point on certain peoples mentality and how it can have a negative influence on the character which is something they carry with them all the time. I'm not talking about the guy that loses a game and starts some bm about how your trash and then leaves. I'm talking about the guys that bm during and after the game.. inside the chat room. The guy who wants to take it personal and would bring it up practically every time you meet as if having a grudge against you. Here is why this is a problem.. ever hear the quote pride comes before the downfall? When someone gets good and starts complaining about their failures at something or someone else other then them self such as hacking, luck, or just blindly spouting out random bm for no reason this will actually make them believe you are actually trash or actually worse in some way. Their mind, even if it's not 100%, will somewhat start to believe these comments. Therefore you will see a decrease in improvement for that person. To put it simply someone will loss a game, feel like shit, talk shit, go on with their shitty life feeling a little better about themselves. On the other hand though take someone who targets his own failures at himself will lose a game, probably think about it a bit, learn from it and adjust things to actually become a better player. If you make a chart of these 2 people you will see one has a higher rate of progression. The same trends can be seen in real life too. Someone who has a shitty job or does bad in school will look at work and tests and bitch about it, go home and relax over it. Where as the other person I mentioned would go home and study more or somehow look to improve their life financially in the long run by either studying more or getting more money/schooling for a better job. It's harder now for some people though and I get that so they probably get stressed out and take it out on everyone around them. What sucks though is most of these people don't seem very intelligent. It's not that I'm calling them stupid but rather they don't care to talk about anything or even want to learn new things. They just want to stay with what they know.. continue living the way they are living and just look forward to the 15 minutes a day they can feel good about them self and don't want to look at improving their future. A better life and world won't come by people bitching all the time so actions should be taken. Btw the first 2 replays I posted are actually pretty good games if anyone is interested in watching them. The other 2 games feel a bit slow. |
