Ok, I've been playing fastest for a little while, i come from years of low money so im still trying to learn the proper openings and what not for fastest 1v1's with terran, im pretty good in team games and not bad in 1v1's, but i get raped a good bit vs op parts guys or w/e. Basically, im wondering what the most effective terran opening build is vs zerg in 1v1's, not 2v2's. Ive been messing around with 2 rax fast factory a little bit. Is it usually better to go for more rax and get thicker MM army, or get faster tank/vessel and just rely on heavy micro until your econ is up?? (THIS IS BW BTW, I DONT WANT ADVICE FOR REGULAR STARCRAFT)

My only issue with not gettin fast vessels or tanks is 1. lurks, 2. cant irradiate drones as fast. I find that late game zerg vs terran is just hard as balls if the game lasts that long, and I usually can fight for a while but ultimately get raped if he makes it to late game.

well...that depends on what ur going for...most zerg(smart zergs) will choke...so if ur gonna go MM and rely on it..u have to go mass MM , i do... 3 rack,vespene/acad/ , rack, then another rack...and upgrade asap stim/range...once i have both upgrades mass the choke... after the 5 racks are made..ur gonna wanna go factory then vessal.....cuz even if ur MM breaks through the choke ur gonna need detect..... OR u could go tech..2 or 3 rack..fast scout 2 scvs...find that itz zerg..(im assuming ur playing RVR) and midbuild factories...2/3 factories, engineering bay..and then blast through choke..... OR do a gay lil rack/supply depot choke where nothing can get in..and trip CC...i dont like this strat tho:P

When you said your only issure is not getting vessels fast enough, I don't know why you don't build engineering bay and getting a couple turrets.....

I do at my base, i was referring to when I go to attack him, or he has lurks in the choke.

nahh.. i think best TvZ strat is the one i currently use.. i rarely lose TvZ's..
2x rax quick tech and go vessels. quick tank push+2vessels asap, then constantly
pumpin vessels & constantly rapin mins, tank drop keep pushing choke
and more&more rines, gg z

Simplest way of beating TvZ is bat rush 8D
My T is horrible due to my inability to concentrate, so I play cheaply, but I do it well. Bat rush, tech to tanks, camp outside his chokes with 6 bunkers (2 of them filled) and tanks, all the while teching to shuttles/vessels and pumping infantry all the while. Medics are a blessing 8D But I just like winning games like that in a fun way.
Failing that, outmass with M&M very early. TvZ is easiest in the first 8 minutes, after that the zergs teched and you have to get rid of minerals (which can be hard against a good player).

It depends on your style. If you are more of a macro / mass player, I suggest 4rax M&M pump + Tank push, eventually getting Vessel tech. If you are more micro oriented, you can do a 2rax + Quicktank to Vessel pretty fast.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Valkyries absolutely DESTROY Zerg. 6 Valkyries will decimate mutas / overlords in seconds.

There are tons of openings. The most common would be this. And actually you should do this when you get T in an RvR too.

Make a supply, then make 4 barracks. dont stop pumping rines. make supply depot. make gas + academy. make 2 supply depot. make 2 more barracks. pump rines/meds. build one CC and one fact. tech to tank and also tech for sci vessel. Build 2 more facts and like 4 more rax. try to rush with rines and meds at first. then later go rines and meds with 2-3 tanks to break choke or rape sunks. Harrass mins with irradiate. Late game attack with full army of MnM and 10 some tanks. Also have like 6-8 sci vessel.

For late game you can also opt to make 6-8 more facts instead of 2 more facts and 4 more rax. And then go a mainly gol, rine, tank, sci vessel build. You should either have a shitload of sci vessel for irrad vs gaurds, or wraiths with cloak. GL

TvZ, if u get scouted early, or the m/u is picked this is what i do.

1 Rack, bunker IF u sense a mass ling rush coming, after rack double CC, or u can just go straight up 2 fac's, port then double, 4-5 Min choke Push, is near unstoppable if your macro, and push is up to date, ez as pie.
