This game gives me a boner. Three campaigns, 1 for each race. Pretty big multiplayer, 18 player support, about 6-7 game modes, deathmatch, species deathmatch, and the three following modes which look like they will be my favorite: Predator hhunt: If I understand correctly, 1 player is the predator and takes on like 4-5 marines, whoever kills the pred, becomes him and the cycle continues. Survival: 4 marines coop vs infinite alien swarms, see how long you can survive. Infestation: 1 alien vs 4 or so marines, every marine you kill becomes an alien until there's only 1 marine left Comes out tuesday 16th |

there's a multiplayer demo out, its only 8 man deathmatch on the demo, which i don't think was the best idea, but it lets you play all three species. IT's pretty awesome, mainly because of how different they all are. PRedator is very stealthy sort of, you can do these huge leaps to certain locations, by holding shift and a jump icon will appear as your crosshair and it shows you where you can leap to. You have your cloak and stuff, and you have all these gruesesome 1 hit kills when you sneak up to someone and grab them. Aliens are probably my favorite sof ar, they're insanely fast and you can attach to any surface, floors walls ceilings etc, by holding the middle mouse button or w/e button on the console version, and you basically just seamlessly transitiion between them, kind of weird at first. They also have a bunch of insant kill grab moves The marines are just nerve racking to play as, you're like the most inferior species, totally grounded, no cool jumping abilities or super speed, just alot of guns and a flashlight, so you are running around terrified the whole time looking for damn aliens all over the ceilings and shit. It's pretty cool tho. |
