Fan Fiction / Poetry / Firebats War Story

There I was, inside a war,
I got sliced in the knee, and fell to the floor,
A medic came and healed me like that,
I was just another Firebat.
The Zerg were persistent and would not die,
I torched a few lings as the wraiths flew by,
I could not believe what I had found,
When a lurkers spikes pushed it out of the ground.
It was a Ghost, his body harmed,
He gave me his gun, and a nuke was armed,
“I was burrowed under by a hydra,” he said,
And when he put his head down, I knew he was dead.
I knew what I had to do, and I knew I would die,
I approached the Zerg, and let out a sigh,
“If you want to kill me, I will stand right here,”
And the Zerg approached, without any fear.
The Zerg had surrounded me, it was now or never,
The whole army was there, and they will be gone forever,
I took out the ghosts gun, and pointed it down,
I have protected my family, my home, and my town.
The launch was detected, I knew this was it,
I was about to die in a big smoldering pit,
I looked up and saw that the nuke had fell,
The last thing I said was, “See you in hell.”
