Choose only one. One of the decisions will change the course of your life and many others.
There is a building on fire. Two people are trapped beneath piles of rubble and debris. You are brave. You are strong and you are also wise.
You run with all your might as the building starts to crumble under the fire's flames. You have 20 seconds to sprint and save one of the two. You reach your destination with 15 seconds to spare. The walls are collapsing under the pressure of the debris above. You start to uncover the two captives.
You remove enough rubble to see both their faces.
You are shocked to see that one of the people is your father. He went to this very destination today to buy your mother her anniversary gift for their love and dedication for each other. You remember many dedicated memories from your father. Loving memories of him teaching you, holding you up when you fell and kissing your wounds when you were young. You love him deeply and want to save him.
You look over and see a famous scientist. You only know him by a magazine but skipped over most of the boring parts. But you read what he has accomplished. Medical breakthroughs that have saved millions, research on cancer that can save millions, cure for many diseases and sicknesses and is on a breakthrough to cracking the AIDS and Birdflu viruses. He is well known in the scientific world and can, and probably will, save many lives to come. MILLIONS OF LIVES.
You have 10 seconds now as the ceiling starts to give way. You look at both one more time, tears streaming down your face.
Who do you choose?

Plus, if it only took 5 seconds to sprint that fast in and see who both are, why not allow it to take another 5 seconds to save each one then you are the one who dies once that timer hits 0! Psh~ oh well!

Dad. Why?
If the scientists could save people from AID's and etc. that would just mean more people in this world. More people in this world means more resources being spent. More things being spent means more poor people. This may sound like I don't care but we have enough problems. F*** the scientists and go with my Dad. |
